Cialis Ingredients

There is a reason Cialis has become a commonly sought treatment among erectile dysfunction (ED) patients. It’s proven successful among many males with very little to no side effects. The creators of this drug wanted to provide men the ability to overcome the stigma of erectile dysfunction and help them confidently enjoy intercourse once more, and they have successfully accomplished as much.

Cialis is a pharmaceutical and is available by prescription only, so men need to speak with their health provider. Once a prescription is secured, it may be purchased either through a traditional pharmacy or, more conveniently and cost effectively, through an accredited online pharmacy.

Before purchasing Cialis (tadalafil), it is important to be aware of the ingredients within this medication. While it is largely safe, some men cannot take Cialis, so being aware of the ingredients can help you and your doctor make the best decision.

How It Works

Men who suffer ED do so in part as a result of a substance produced by their bodies known as PDE5. This chemical decreases the cGMP in the body, an important chemical needed to achieve erection during sexual stimulation.

When this chemical is present in high levels, it makes an erection impossible since the male body cannot receive signals sent from their nerve endings. Cialis, or tadalafil, decrease the effects of PDE5 allowing men to achieve and hold a hard erection long enough to enjoy sexual intercourse.

Cialis, the main ingredient of which is the drug Tadalafil, works by increasing the blood flow to the male penis. When a man becomes sexually aroused, his penis will then be able to properly fill with blood and achieve an erection.

It is important to note that the medication will only work when sexual arousal occurs – an erection will not happen independently of that. This is because for Cialis’ primary ingredients to activate, it requires a chemical interaction with chemicals that are released upon sexual stimulus. There are two important chemicals during sexual stimulations that are involved in blood circulation.

The first chemical is a nitric oxide and the second is cGMP. Working together, these substances help males achieve an erection. Nerve endings release nitric oxide which then stimulates the production of cGMP. This allows muscles to relax allowing more blood to pass through blood vessels consequently entering the penis, resulting in an erection.

Inactive Ingredients

In addition to tadalafil, Cialis also contains a number of other inactive ingredients. It has the formula C22H19N3O4 and has a molecular weight of 389.41. This drug is available in a yellow, almond shape tablet and is consumed by mouth.

Every table contains the following inactive ingredients:

  • Titanium dioxide
  • Iron Oxide
  • Croscarmellose sodium
  • Sodium lauryl sulfate
  • Hydroxypropyl cellulose
  • Hypromellose
  • Lactose Monohydrate
  • Microcrystalline cellulose
  • Talc
  • Triacetin
  • Magnesium stearate

Recommended Dosage

Users can obtain these pills in the following dosages: 2.5, 5, 10, or 20 mg. They should not take more than one tablet a day, keeping in mind that this drug remains in the body for at least 24 hours. It is recommended to start at low dosages and, depending on how the body reacts to them, increase or decrease the dose as needed. All dosing should be first discussed with your doctor.

It’s important to remember that all medications include side effects and can lead to health complications when taken in large quantities. Certain health problems and other medications have negative interactions with Cialis, so not everyone should take it.

Speaking with a health provider prior to consuming Cialis can clear up any questions you may have about the proper dosage amount and how often you should be taking this medication.

Is Cialis for You?

Regardless if you are a healthy male or currently taking some medication, you should speak with a health provider prior to taking Cialis or tadalafil. If you’ve had a stroke within the last 6 months, suffer from congestive heart failure, or have high/low blood pressure, this treatment may not be for you.

There are other conditions that may prevent you from being a suitable candidate for this treatment which is why it’s important to speak with your health provider. Speaking to someone about an erectile dysfunction is never comfortable, however, it is necessary to get the treatment you need.

If you wish to purchase Cialis, you can do so in two primary ways. In the United Kingdom, you have the option of either buying the branded version or the generic. Either form works and will give you harder and longer erections, increasing the enjoyment of sexual intercourse.
